Ground Preparation & Excavation: Initially, the designated area for your new synthetic grass will be excavated to a depth between 80mm and 100mm. All excavated materials are responsibly disposed of, either through skip bins or direct transportation to nearby waste management facilities.
Backfilling and Levelling: Following excavation, we commence the backfilling procedure with quarter minus crusher dust, elevating the ground level to approximately 50mm. This varies based on the artificial grass’s length to ensure the tips slightly overhang your borders and pathways by about 5mm, mimicking the appearance of naturally lush grass. We meticulously screed and compact the area for a solid and even foundation.
Joins & edging: Diverging from the conventional 50mm, we employ a 250mm-wide joining tape, generously applying adhesive to fortify the seams, significantly reducing the likelihood of separation due to the temperature fluctuations experienced during Canberra’s winter and summer seasons. The turf’s perimeter is securely fastened with tailor-made U-pins, designed specifically for synthetic lawns. Our installation experts carefully assess the layout, ensuring the turf is positioned for the most visually appealing outcome.
Final Touches: Our synthetic grass stands out with its enduring vibrancy and greenness, irrespective of the season, ensuring your space remains picturesque all year. To maintain its prime condition, we evenly distribute approximately 6kg of Kiln Dried sand per square meter over the artificial lawn. This not only prevents the blades from laying flat but also aids in anchoring the artificial lawn in place.
